England star opener Ben Duckett's blazing 153-run innings in IND vs ENG Rajkot Test helped him surpass Virat Kohli, setting a new record.
On day 3 of IND vs ENG Rajkot Test, Ben Duckett's remarkable achievement sees him become the first English opener to score over 150 runs in a Test innings in Asia in nine years.
The last player to accomplish this feat was former England captain Alastair Cook, who achieved the milestone with his innings of 263 vs Pakistan in Abu Dhabi back in 2015.
Duckett's outstanding innings of 153 runs also helped him surpass Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli.
England's Ben Duckett's 153-run innings is now the highest individual Test score at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
Previously, the record was held by Virat Kohli, who scored 139 runs against West Indies in 2018.
