Kate learned how the nursing home, which first opened its doors in 1980, is using cutting-edge technology to improve the lives of its residents, such as an interactive sensory table purchased in 2020 as a creative response to the COVID-19 pandemic and a new interactive wall used to support residents with dementia.
While Oxford House Nursing Home cares for up to 34 residents, the company also runs Oxford House Community Care, which helps people in the community live safely and independently in their own homes.
To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras, or Pancake Day, the Princess of Wales helped residents at Oxford House Nursing Home make the morning classic.
