4 Children Found Alive 40 Days After Amazon Plane Crash
The four children received immediate medical attention after they were found.

View In AppColombia’s army began the search for the group of four siblings, aged 13, 9, 4 and 11 months, after they weren’t found at the site of the crash.
The children are members of the Huitoto people, officials said the oldest children in the group had some knowledge of how to survive in the rainforest, according to AP.
The military tweeted pictures showing a group of soldiers and volunteers posing with the children, who were wrapped in thermal blankets.
The plane crashed on May 1, the pilot declared emergency due to engine failure, it wasn’t found until May 16. The small aircraft fell off radar a short time later and a frantic search for survivors began.
A search team found the plane in a thick patch of the rainforest and recovered the bodies of the three adults on board, including the pilot.
