Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday tied knot with Delhi-based Rachel Godinho in a restricted marriage ceremony in the national capital..

The wedding was conducted at Sainik Farms located in south Delhi. According to India Today, Tejashwi's bride, Rachel who is a Christian, will now be known as Rajeshwari Yadav.

The-32-years old got hitched to Rachel about whom not much is known barring the fact that the couple have known each other since childhood and the bride's father is a Haryana-based businessman.

Images shared by Rohini Acharya, Tejashwi's sister showed Tejashwi and his bride participating in wedding rituals in the presence of their family members, including the RJD leader's mother Rabri Devi and party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.

A royal buffet was arranged for dinner post the wedding. Tight security arrangements were also made. Due to the deployment of several bouncers outside the venue, strict checking was going on at all the gates and the details of all the vehicles were being noted.

The wedding ceremony was attended by former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple, Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti and other top leaders. The couple got engaged in the presence of close friends and family.

Both Tejashwi and Rachel have known each other for more than seven years. The couple studied together at Delhi Public School in RK Puram. The bride hails from Haryana and lives with her family in Delhi's Friends Colony.
