Congress leader Rahul Gandhi embarked on a spiritual journey during his election campaign, paying his respects at the revered Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand.

Arriving at the sacred site via a private helicopter, Rahul Gandhi was welcomed by the temple's priests and members of the Congress party.

Sharing his experience on Facebook, Rahul Gandhi posted pictures of his visit, saying, Today, I visited Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand and had darshan and worshipped. Har Har Mahadev.

The Wayanad MP's visit to Kedarnath served as a spiritual interlude amid his election campaigning activities.

After seeking blessings at Kedarnath, Rahul Gandhi continued his election campaign efforts by addressing a poll rally in Chhattisgarh later in the day.

The Kedarnath temple, nestled at a lofty altitude of 3,584 meters above sea level, is one of the holiest shrines in Uttarakhand, forming a significant part of the Char Dhams and Panch Kedar in the region.

The Kedarnath temple is also one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva in India.
