President Droupadi Murmu paid homage to freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at his ancestral home in Kolkata on Monday. Murmu, who is in West Bengal for two days, went around Netaji Bhawan, which is now a memorial. Netaji's grandnephew Sumantra Bose told Murmu about the significance of the historical building, which is where a number of events during the country's freedom struggle took place.
