The drill, which the Navy conducts nationwide, includes the exercise. The exercise aims to verify the effectiveness of the national coastal defence organisation against threats coming from the sea. Other issues that will be evaluated during the exercise include agency coordination, smooth information flow, sharing of intelligence inputs with pertinent security authorities, application of best practises, and validation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various contingencies. There will be two phases to the drill. The agencies will audit and evaluate their infrastructure during the first phase.
