Following the meeting, both leaders went to the Bal Bodhi Tree in Delhi's Buddha Jayanti Park on Monday. After worshipping and putting flowers on the Bal Bodhi Tree, the two leaders were walking through the park.
On his March visit to India, Kishida set a five trillion yen (Rs 3,20,000 crore) investment target for the next five years in India.
Kishida, who landed in Delhi this morning for a nearly 27-hour tour, also tried Gol Gappe, Lassi, and Aam Panna.
The prime minister remarked that the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership is crucial for the Indo-Pacific region and is based on democratic principles and respect for international law.
India-Japan ties were elevated to Global Partnership in 2000, then to Strategic and Global Partnership, and ultimately to Special Strategic and Global Partnership in 2014.
