View In AppOn Tuesday, Ravi Mohan Saini , who is now 33 years old took charge as the Superintendent of Police, Porbandar.
Ravi was 14-year-old and in 10th standard then,he had received the money four years later as the rules of the show dictate that participants shall get the money only when they turn 18. He also said that he had received around Rs 69 lakh after deduction of taxes.
Talking about his new role, he said, “My role would be the implementation of lockdown in Porbandar in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, the law and order situation remains our topmost priority.”
The popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by Amitabh Bachchan came out with a special format for children, KBC Junior in the year 2001and it was 14-year-old Ravi Mohan Saini answered all 15 questions correctly to win the top prize of Rs 1 crore back then.
Nearly two decades later, he is now an IPS officer, Saini qualified for the Indian Police Services in 2014, with an All-India rank of 461.
