Actress Swara Bhasker has tied the knot with Fahad Ahmad, the president of Samajwadi Party's youth wing in Maharashtra.

The actress surprised everyone with a video with a montage of all their adorable moments while detailing their love story.

The actress wrote in the caption, "Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad. It's chaotic but it's yours."

Spokesperson of Swara Bhasker & Fahad Ahmad confirmed that the couple has registered their marriage today in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family.

The wedding celebrations will commence next month in Delhi. Today a lunch was hosted by the couple in Mumbai.

Swara's close friend Sonam Kapoor attended the wedding lunch wearing a white attire with red heavy dupatta.

Sonam kept her hair open and completed her look with a pair of beautiful earrings.

Actress Divya Dutta, who has worked with Swara in 'Sheer Qorma', also attended the lunch.

Fahad, who is a Mumbai-based political activist, graduated from the Aligarh Muslim University and completed his M.Phil in social work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai. Currently he is is the Maharashtra unit chief of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, the youth wing of the Samajwadi Party.
