Alia Bhatt will play the role of a madam of a brothel in Kamathipura in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. Her first look had created lot of buzz on social media.

Talking about Alia Bhatt, the actress was recently seen in 'Sadak 2'. The film co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur received scathing reviews from the critics and fans.

Interestingly, Parth Samthaan aka Anurag Basu from ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ is rumoured to join Alia in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The makers and the ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan’ actor is yet to make an official announcement.

According to a report in Mid-Day, Bhansali will shoot solo scenes of Alia Bhatt and other sequences where only fewer people are required. SLB will film the other important sequences later. The sets of the film are being sanitized; although, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is yet to finalise a date.

If a recent report in a leading daily is to be believed, Alia Bhatt would resume the shooting of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ from next month. Yes, you read that right!
