PICS: Veteran Actor Dilip Kumar Draped In Tricolour For State Funeral

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, who was battling health issues since a long time, passed away on Wednesday (July 7) at Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital. He was 98. Several tinsel town celebs including Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan mourned his demise on social media.

The mortal remains of the veteran actor was draped in Tricolour for the state funeral. His funeral will be performed with full state honours in Mumbai.

Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu Khan had earlier informed fans about his improving medical condition. However, it turned out to be a short-lived glimmer of hope as the actor left for his heavenly abode on Wednesday. He was 98.

About a dozen policemen draped Dilip Kumar's mortal remains in the Tricolour. Many fans gathered at the cemetery to catch a last glimpse of their favorite actor.

Dilip Kumar will be buried at Juhu Qabrastan in Santacruz. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has declared a state funeral for the veteran actor, who was known as ‘Tragedy King’ of Bollywood.
