Anurag Kashyap IT Raid: Tax Sleuths Leave Filmmaker's Mumbai House After 11 Hrs Of Investigation
The Income Tax department on Wednesday (March 3) carried out searches at filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu as part of their investigation in a tax evasion probe against Phantom Films.

View In AppThe IT team conducted raids across 30 different locations in Mumbai and Pune on Wednesday. The team raided premises linked to Taapsee and Anurag and his partners, who launched Phantom Films, officials told PTI.
The Income Tax department team started the raids in the morning and continued it till evening at Anurag Kashyap’s residence. The Income Tax Officer was spotted leaving the filmmaker’s house in the evening after close to 11 hours of investigation.
Both Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu are yet to issue any statement about the IT raid at their houses.
Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl formed Phantom Films in 2011. The production house, which produced ‘Queen’ and ‘Lootera’, was dissolved in 2018.
Congress and other opposition leaders expressed their displeasure over the IT raid at the Bollywood celebs’ residence. Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik called the raids an ‘attempt to suppress the voice’ of people, who speak against the BJP government.
