Kolkata: Taxi Driver Arrested For Harassing & Passing Lewd Comments At TMC MP & Actress Mimi Chakraborty

The taxi driver, who reportedly hails from Anandapur, has been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Mimi, who started her career as a model, was travelling to her south Kolkata home from the gym when she was harassed by the taxi driver.

Mimi Chakraborty, who has worked in several Bengali films, will be soon seen as Mahishasuramardini in a special Mahalaya show, which will beam on Star Jalsha.

The incident took place when Mimi Chakraborty was returning to her home on Monday (September 14). The taxi driver overtook her car and passed lewd comments at the ‘Total Dadagiri’ actress. Chakraborty confronted the driver and informed the police after he repeated the same gesture twice.

The taxi driver has been arrested after the actress lodged a written complaint against him, accusing him of making objectionable gestures and passing lewd comments, a report in IANS said.
