Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu's Moment Of Joy As She Bags The Title, See PICS

India’s Harnaaz Sandhu is Miss Universe 2021. The 21-year-old bagged the prestigious title after beating participants from 80 countries at the coveted beauty pageant.

The 70th edition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant was held in Eilat, Israel, where the 21-year-old bagged the coveted title, representing India. Harnaaz is a model and actor. She was crowned Miss Universe India in October 2021.

The crown has been brought home after 21 years. The last time when an Indian won the title was in 2000, when actor Lara Dutta was crowned Miss Universe.

Harnaaz is currently pursuing her Masters in Public administration. She began her beauty pageant journey with Times Fresh Face in 2017, where she represented Chandigarh.

While Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira, 22, finished second, South Africa's Lalela Mswane, 24, came third. Harnaaz was crowned by her predecessor Andrea Meza of Mexico, who won the pageant in 2020.

The ‘Miss Universe 2021’ holds other pageant titles like Femina Miss India Punjab 2019 as well. Sandhu has also worked in a few Punjabi films like, ‘Yaaran Diyan Poo Baran’ and ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’.

During the final question and answer round, Sandhu was asked what advice would she give to young women on how to deal with the pressure they face today. She said that today’s youth should have belief in themselves and their uniqueness. Her answer was met with a thundering applause.
