TV actor Manmeet Grewal, who worked in shows like 'Aadat Se Majboor’ and ‘Kuldeepak', committed suicide by hanging himself at his place in Navi Mumbai on May 15. He was 32. Manmeet was depressed as he was unable to get work due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

Model and actress Kuljeet Randhawa ended her life by hanging herself in her apartment in Juhu. She left behind a suicide note and said that she took the drastic step as she was unable to cope with life's pressures. She was 30. The actress worked in shows like 'Hip Hip Hurrat', 'C.A.T.S' and 'Special Squad'.

Popular TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who became a household name after playing the role of Anandi in Colors TV’s ‘Balika Vadhu’, was found hanging at her apartment in Mumbai on April 1, 2016. Her strained relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh had severe impact on her mental health.

TV actor Kushal Panjabi was found hanging at his Bandra apartment on December 26. The actor, last seen in ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’, was suffering from depression. He left behind a suicide note in which he said that no one should be held responsible for his death.
