On the occasion, Amitabh Bachchan surprised fans waiting outside his house Jalsa, by coming out to meet them at midnight.

The superstar's ardent followers eagerly waited outside his residence to be the first ones to wish the legendary actor.

Amitabh Bachchan greeted all his fans and thanked them for their heartfelt wishes and love.

The actor, who turns 81 today, was dressed in a printed hoodie and a cap. Amitabh thanked his fans with folded hands.

Fans also spotted daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and grand daughters Navya Naveli and Aaradhya Bachchan, sneaking a glance as Big B greeted his fans.
