View In AppThe EV6 is quite a sharply designed EV with a sleek look with a new version of the Tiger nose grille along with a futuristic style. Being an EV, the car is more pushed forward with a longer wheelbase as that explains the cab-forward stance with a shorter nose. A wing roof spoiler and a sloping rear look make it more of a coupe SUV while it looks to be a mixture of a sports car and an SUV. (Photo: Somnath Chatterjee)
The interior is more futuristic too while the EV platform brings in additional space with a wheelbase of 2,900mm. There are touch control switches for the AC along with premium features like heated/ventilated seats/ADAS and more. In total there are two curved 12.3-inch high-definition touchscreens. Interestingly, the EV6 has vegan leather and sustainably sourced materials used for the interior of the car for a more environmentally friendly approach. (Photo: Somnath Chatterjee)
The EV6 would be sold in India with the top-end variants only, while there are cheaper variants sold in global markets. The EV6 gets an option of long-range (77.4 kWh) and standard-range (58.0 kWh) battery packs. The 2WD 77.4 kWh model goes upto to 528 kilometres on a charge while AWD versions make around 325PS. The 58.0 kWh Kia EV6 goes from 0-to-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. Fast charging is there along with regenerative braking with one pedal stop thanks to the ability to stop without brakes. For India, we might get the AWD version but at a price, since being an import the EV6 will not be cheap or available at all Kia dealers. Only select Kia dealers would be able to sell the car while we expect the EV6 to be priced above the Rs 50 lakh mark. (Photo: Somnath Chatterjee)
