Will You Eat This ‘Butter Volcano’ Paratha? Netizens Are Freaking Out

In India, one of the most popular breakfast dishes that is consumed across all households is paratha. While we have many paratha recipes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions, this street vendor's experiment with paratha has left foodies aghast.
The video of the street vendor preparing "butter volcano paratha" has left netizens freaked out. Recently, a food blogger named Desi Foodie shared the video of the vendor making this unique paratha with huge dollops of butter on Facebook.
In the video, a person is seen rolling out dough. Then he fills the dough with a generous amount of stuffing. The the paratha is put in tawa. While usually parathas are fried in oil, the person is seen frying it in three whole slabs of butter. The paratha soon turned crispy-red and it was finally served with a curry and pickle. The vendor can be heard saying in the video that the paratha can be consumed by 2-4 people.
Too Much Butter?

One of the users expressed his displeasure over the dish and wrote, "I think even quarter would have done a fantastic job…it’s time Govt made rules/law to prohibit such wastage of butter or cheese and promoting of unhealthy foods with excess fat like butter and cheese…. There’s this misconception that excess butter cheese makes good tasty or palatable…only who know nothing of flavours or cuisines are selling mediocre foods/dishes with an overload of butter or cheese."
Another user wrote, "It could really do with just one butter block..some of the butter remained in the pan..."
Other Street-Side Weird Food Items
Recently, another such video of a vendor preparing 'heart attack omelette' had grabbed attention of netizens. A huge amount of butter was used in the making of this dish as well. On top of that, two cheese slices and loads of shredded cheese were added on top of the omelette. Then, all the cheese was melted by using a 'flamethrower'.
Another item that left netizens bewildered recently was street-side "mutton maggi" that was being sold in Delhi for a whopping Rs 1,100.
