Among the list of burgers are 'Su-57' - named after Russia's massively delayed 5th generation fighter jet; the 'Kinzhal' - a nuclear-capable air-to-surface missile; and the 'T-34' - a WWII era tank.
New Delhi: Russia has come up with a new phase for its fast-food lovers as the former McDonald’s reopens under new branding and ownership in the country, reported Daily Mail.
The fast-food restaurant, launched in northwestern Russia’s Syktyvkar has been named after the country's infamous pro-war symbol, ‘Z-Burger’ with the tagline; “At Z-Burger, we support our own”.
The restaurant’s menu has caught the attention worldwide as it serves burgers, pizzas and other fast food dishes named after Russian weapons, tanks, and planes that have been currently deployed in Ukraine.
Among the list of burgers are 'Su-57' - named after Russia's massively delayed 5th generation fighter jet; the 'Kinzhal' - a nuclear-capable air-to-surface missile; and the 'T-34' - a WWII era tank.
Other burgers on the menu sport nationalistic epithets such as 'Kremlin'; 'Za Krim' (For Crimea); 'Za Nashihk' (For Our Own); and 'Za KaVkaZ' (For the Caucasus) - with pro-war characters Z and V capitalised for extra patriotism, as per the report.
Following Russia’s invasion in Ukraine on February 24, global fast-food chain McDonald’s last month said that it has decided to pull out of the country selling its restaurants in Russia to one of its local licensees, Alexander Govor.
McDonald's iconic 'Golden Arches' have been taken down at sites in Moscow and St Petersburg in preparation for the launch, making way for a new logo consisting of 'a burger and fries' on a green background, the report stated.
Initially 15 restaurants have been covered in the surrounding region for reopening.
