Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said Monday that Modi will attend the cabinet meeting during his overnight stay in Assam.

The Meghalaya Democratic Alliance led by the National People's Party (NPP) has 32 MLAs. The coalition is led by Conrad Sangma, and will form the government for the second consecutive term in the state. The BJP is an ally of the MDA, and has been allotted a berth in the new ministry, a PTI report said.
NPP has won 26 out of a total of 60 seats. It will take eight cabinet berths, BJP will get a single berth, United Democratic Party (UDP) will get two berths, and Hill State People's Democratic Party (HSPDP) will get one berth.
