It was posted on Facebook by Alaska’s Bureau of Land Management on October 26th. It shows what the department called a “strange thing” swimming in the Chena River in Fairbanks.
Take a look yourself:
The video has been viewed more than 8, 60,000 times and people kept guessing it as bevegator, Zombie salmon and more mythical creatures.
The netizens imaginations and wild speculation lead it to the loch ness monster which is believed to be an aquatic being and the movement suggests that there is tail swaying as ice rotating in the video.
The guesses lowered down when Alaska’s Bureau of Land Management explained the theory by experts and wrote, "frazil ice stuck to a rope that is probably caught on a bridge pier. No sign of the mysterious "ice monster" or frozen rope"
