A day after Indian and Chinese military commanders met at the diplomatic negotiating table to resolve the ongoing standoff in Ladakh along Line of Actual Control, the Chinese Army released a video showing thousands of pf soldiers engaged in an exercise on Indo-China border.

A state-run media out Global Times on Sunday posted the video on its official Twitter handle in which People's Liberation Army (PLA) and Air Force airborne brigade soldiers can be seen performing military activities at high-altitude regions of China's Hubei Province.

The media publication while posting the video said, “several thousand soldiers with a Chinese PLA Air Force airborne brigade took just a few hours to manoeuvre from Central China’s Hubei Province to the northwestern, high-altitude region amid China-India border tensions.”

This comes hours after the Army commanders of both India and China held the first of its kind military-level meeting on Saturday in the Chushul-Moldo region, in order to resolve the weeks-long stand-off between the two neighbouring countries in Eastern Ladakh.

Post the diplomatic talks, Ministry Of External Affairs issued a statement, saying that both the parties have agreed to peacefully resolve the current border dispute.

The MEA stated that both India and China will continue the military and diplomatic engagements to resolve the situation and to ensure peace in the border areas.

Saturday's meeting took place after 12 rounds of talks between local commanders of the two armies and three rounds of discussions at the level of major general-rank officials could not produce any tangible outcome.

Currently, the Chinese army is learnt to have deployed around 2,500 troops in Pangong Tso and Galwan Valley besides gradually enhancing temporary infrastructure and weaponry.
