Prince Harry, also known as the Duke of Sussex, has expressed his desire to have his father and brother back and to have a "family, not an institution". He aired his sentiments during an upcoming interview with Britain's ITV channel.
The interview is set to be broadcast this Sunday. In clips released on Monday, Harry appeared to be referring to someone when he states that "they feel as though it is better to keep us somehow as the villains" and that "they have shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile", reported news agency AP.
Harry and his wife Meghan have publicly shared their grievances against the British monarchy since they decided to step down as senior royals in 2020 and relocate to California with their two children. Harry has previously discussed his estrangement from his father, King Charles III, and older brother Prince William since his departure from the UK.
In a recent Netflix documentary titled "Harry & Meghan," Harry was critical of the royal press team and spoke about the breakdown of his relationship with William and the rest of the royal household. Meghan also spoke about wanting to end her life due to the toxic press coverage she received in the UK. Harry's autobiography, titled "Spare," which refers to the saying "the heir and the spare," will be released on January 10.
