'Reconsider Travel To Pakistan': US Issues Advisory For Its Citizens
A Level 3 travel warning is issued when long-term or serious conditions pose a risk to passengers and visitors and when non-essential travel is deemed necessary to be avoided.
New Delhi: The US issued an advisory on Thursday, urging its citizens to reconsider traveling to Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) provinces in Pakistan. The US government asked its citizens not to travel to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, including Balochistan and the former Federal Territories of Tribal Areas (FATA), due to incidents of terrorism and sectarian violence.
"Reconsider travel to Pakistan due to terrorism and sectarian violence. Some areas have increased risk," it said, putting the advisory to Level 3.

The US also advised its citizens not to travel around the Line of Control (LoC) due to the threat of terrorism and armed conflict. The advisory states that terrorists can strike with little or no warning. They can target transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, military installations, airports, universities, tourist sites, schools, hospitals, places of worship and government facilities. Terrorists have carried out attacks on US diplomats and diplomatic establishments in the past.

“Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, military installations, airports, universities, tourist locations, schools, hospitals, places of worship, and government facilities. Terrorists have targeted US diplomats and diplomatic facilities in the past,” the advisory said.
