Five people were killed and one person was critically injured in a shooting incident in North Las Vegas in the United States on Monday. The officers responded to an apartment shortly after 10 pm on Monday on reports of a shooting and found two women injured who were later pronounced dead.
According to an NBC report, the detectives also discovered a 13-year-old girl at the apartment who was wounded. The teen was brought to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas in critical condition, said the police.
Two other women in their mid-20s and a man in his early 20s were shot dead in a nearby apartment. They were declared dead at the scene, said the officials, as per the NBC report.

The police said that the identification of the five victims will be provided by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Eric Adams, 47, was named by the police as a suspect, who killed himself after being tracked down on Tuesday morning, the NBC report stated.
On Tuesday morning, North Las Vegas police received information about Adams' possible whereabouts. Officials from the Criminal Apprehension team later found him, and he “was armed with a firearm and fled into the backyard of a residence at that location,” police said, the report added.

Officers gave verbal commands to drop the gun, however, “Adams ignored those commands and died by suicide,” police said.
North Las Vegas police said Las Vegas police's Force Investigation Team was assisting and conducting an investigation.
According to the news report, there was no additional information from police Tuesday afternoon and more details of the "overall investigation" will be released at a later time, police said.
