'See You Soon': Donald Trump Bids Adieu Ahead Of Joe Biden's Inauguration
Biden's Inauguration: In his short address, Donald Trump "thanked" staff members and those who believed in him during his presidency.
Ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration ceremony, Donald Trump left the White House on Wednesday with a legacy never witnessed before in American political history. Before leaving for his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, the outgoing US President gave the final speech, in his official capacity, from Joint Air Force Base Andrews, Maryland.

In his short address, Donald Trump "thanked" staff members and those who believed in him during his presidency. "This has been an incredible four years. We accomplished so much together. I want to thank my family, friends and my staff. Want to thank you for your effort. People have no idea how hard this family worked," Trump said.
Despite his apprehensions regarding COVID-19, in his final speech as a President, Donald Trump acknowledged that the US was "hit hard by the pandemic".
"We were hit so hard by the pandemic. We did something that is considered a medical miracle - the vaccine which was developed in 9 months," Trump said during his farewell speech.
The outgoing President is not attending the oath ceremony of President-elect Joe Biden but he did wish luck to his successor without naming in his speech.
"I wish the new administration great luck and success. I think they have the foundation to do something really spectacular," Trump said with Melania Trump standing by his side.

In his last words before boarding the plane, Trump said: "Have a good life, we will see you soon."
Trump is the first president to skip his successor's inauguration since Andrew Johnson in 1869.
