Donald Trump Prepares For Biden’s Transition, Tells NSA To ‘Do What Needs To Be Done’

Donald Trump seems to be finally accepting defeat and allowing the transition of power to the President-elect Joe Biden.

New Delhi: Weeks after the election it seems that the incumbent US President is finally coming to terms with his defeat. In the latest tweet to General Services Administration(GSA) Trump appears to be conceding defeat and giving way to President-Elect Joe Biden to take office as he writes 'do what needs to be done'. In his tweet, he addresses the agency's head Emily Murphy and says that her team can do 'what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols' and that he 'told my team to do the same.' Even after the democrat leader Biden, was the next US President, Trump has spent weeks denying the results and claims that the verdict was stolen from him. According to a report by Agence France-Presse, the sudden shift has come after Michigan became the latest state to certify its results and more powerful Trump supporters came out demanding that the impasse end. The report also says that Biden's team will now have access to funds, office space and the ability to meet with federal officials. "In the days ahead, transition officials will begin meeting with federal officials to discuss the pandemic response, have a full accounting of our national security interests, and gain a complete understanding of the Trump administration's efforts to hollow out government agencies," said Biden's transition director Yohannes Abraham in a statement.
