New Delhi: Two police officers and one first responder were shot and killed early Sunday while responding to a domestic abuse call in Burnsville, a suburb of Minneapolis. The Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association confirmed the tragic deaths, sending shockwaves through the law enforcement community, news agency AP reported.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz expressed his anguish, stating on Facebook, "Horrific news from Burnsville... We must never take for granted the bravery and sacrifices our police officers and first responders make every day."

These heroes leave behind loved ones and a community who will forever remember their bravery and dedication to keeping Minnesotans safe", as per the report.
Jim Mortenson, Executive Director of the Law Enforcement Labor Services, echoed similar sentiments, stating, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the officers and first responder... We mourn alongside the Burnsville community and the families of those killed."
Sheriff Marty Kelly of neighboring Goodhue County emphasized the importance of community support during such trying times, urging unity and solidarity amidst the uncertainty and grief.
