Amit Shah Discharged After Testing Negative For Coronavirus; Opts Home Isolation For Few Days
The 55-year-old Shah, who is diabetic, was found to be infected with the deadly Coronavirus infection twelve days ago on August 2, following which he was admitted to Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital following the advice of doctors.
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah who was undergoing treatment for novel Coronavirus, has finally tested negative for the COVID-19 test. Shah took to the Twitter on Friday to announce that his samples for COVID-19 test resulted negative today. In a tweet in Hindi, Shah said, "Today my Coronavirus test report has come negative. I thank God and express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who blessed me and my family an prayed for my well being."
He went on to say that he will stay in home isolation for a few more days on the advice of doctors. In another tweet, the Home Minister also thanked the doctors and medical staff at the Medanta Hospital for treating him and taking care of him

Soon after he was tested positive for COVID-19, he put out a tweet in Hindi confirming that he was Coronavirus positive. The leader said that he was swabbed for the novel virus after he presented initial symptoms.
"My health is fine, but am being admitted to hospital on the advice of doctors. Requests all those who came in contact with me these last few days to self-isolate and get themselves tested," Amit Shah said.

Shah further advised all those who came in his contact in the past few days to isolate themselves in order to curb the spread of the deadly Coronavirus disease.
Meanwhile, India has witnessed another significant spike in the single-day COVID-19 cases with fresh 64,553 infections reported in the last 24 hours. Along with 64,553 infections, 1,007 Coronavirus fatalities have been reported across the country in the past day. With this, the total death toll has risen to 48,040.
