In order to ensure the safety of the infants in their care, the nurses sprang into action, swiftly gathering around ten cots. It can be seen in the video that the primary concern was to avoid any harm as the tremors threatened to worsen.

BBC in its report mentioned that the hospital staff were concerned about the safety of the babies due to the proximity of a nearby window. As per the report, the staff feared that the window would shatter due to the earthquake's force.

It is to be noted that the recent quake was one of the strongest in the last 25 years of Taiwan's history.

Rescue Operations Continues

The rescue operations continued on Thursday. The authorities worked to find the missing people and assisted those who were left stranded. As per official figures, the death toll has risen to 10, with more than 1,000 people injured.

Around four people were killed in Taroko National Park, a popular tourist destination. The park is widely known for its breathtaking views of canyons and cliffs located about 150 kilometres from Taipei.

Reports of more fatalities have emerged from other locations. One of the reports claimed that two Indians who were reported missing in Ho Ren Quarry after the strong tremors hit the island nation are safe.

After the quake, roads were blocked because of debris and mudslides which left hundreds of people stranded and prevented them from reaching their homes or workplaces.
