Khashoggi’s son Salah has been facing a travel ban since last year.
Khashoggi was killed after entering Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2. As per reports, days after he was killed inside the consulate, the body parts of the dissident journalist were found at the Saudi consul general's home. According to Sky News, the 59-year-old Washington Post contributor's body had been "cut up" and his face "disfigured", with the remains found in the garden of the consul general's home, situated around 500 metres away from the consulate.
Twitter erupted with anger when the photo-op made its way to the social media with many users calling it 'ruthless'.
