The regional administration said that eight rockets were fired at the Yavoriv military range, located 30 kilometres (19 miles) northwest of Lviv. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned Russian forces they face a fight to the death if they try to occupy the capital Kyiv. This happened as air raid sirens again woke residents on Sunday morning, news agency Reuters reported.
"If they decide to carpet bomb and simply erase the history of this region ... and destroy all of us, then they will enter Kyiv. If that's their goal, let them come in, but they will have to live on this land by themselves," a Reuters report quoted Zelenskyy as saying.
Zelenskyy has repeatedly appeared on social media from the capital of Ukraine. He said that some small towns no longer existed in the third week of Russian attacks, the biggest assault on a European country since World War Two.
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has authorised USD 200 million for additional arms and equipment to Ukraine, news agency ANI reported.
Russian troops shot at a group of women and children evacuees leaving a village near Kyiv, killing seven, one of them a child, Ukraine's military intelligence service said on Saturday.
"During an attempt to evacuate from the village of Peremoga... along an agreed 'green' corridor, the occupiers opened fire on a column of civilians, consisting exclusively of women and children. The result of this brutal act was seven dead. One of them is a child," Defence Intelligence of Ukraine said on Facebook.

Taking to Twitter, Zelenskyy wrote, "Continued dialogue with Israel PM @naftalibennett. We talked about Russian aggression and the prospects for peace talks. We must stop repressions against civilians: asked to assist in the release of the captive mayor of Melitopol and local public figures."
Earlier, Zelenskyy also spoke with the German chancellor Olaf Scholz and the French president Emmanuel Macron for their help in the release of Melitopol mayor, Ivan Fedorov. "I spoke with @OlafScholz, @EmmanuelMacron. We discussed countering the aggressor, RF crimes against civilians. I ask my partners to help in releasing the captive mayor of Melitopol. Prospects for peace talks were also discussed. We must stop the aggressor together," Zelenskyy tweeted.

Meanwhile, Russia on Wednesday said that it was not trying to overthrow the regime of Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine, AFP reported. Russia also said that negotiations with Ukrainian officials to resolve the conflict were making headway.
During a press briefing on Wednesday on the three rounds of talks with Kyiv, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, "Some progress has been made".
The development comes after President Zelensky said he was no longer pressing for NATO membership for Ukraine, a delicate issue that was one of Russia's stated reasons for invading its pro-Western neighbour.
In another remark aimed at placating Moscow, Zelensky said he was open to "compromise" on the status of two breakaway pro-Russian territories that President Vladimir Putin recognised as independent just before invading Ukraine on February 24.
After agreeing to a ceasefire for two consecutive days, now Russia and Ukraine have agreed on day-long evacuation corridors.
According to news agency AFP, both countries have agreed on providing humanitarian corridors for an entire day. This comes after at least 10 people were killed in a Russian military attack in the eastern Ukrainian town of Severodonestk.
On the other hand, Ukraine's youngest Member of Parliament, Sviatoslav Yurash, lauded India for the humanitarian steps undertaken to assist those affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Sviatoslav Yurash also said India must reconsider its strategic partnership with Russia and punish the country for the "misdeeds" of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
