'Important Signal Of US's Commitment...': US Secretary On New $200 Million Military Aid Package To Ukraine
United States Secretary of State, Antony J Blinken in a statement said that this package is an important signal of the US' continued commitment to supporting Ukraine as they defend their independence.
With the Russia-Ukraine war continuing, the US has announced a new $200 million military aid package for the latter to protect its people from the 'brutal' invasion of Russia. United States Secretary of State, Antony J Blinken in a statement said that this package is an important signal of the US' continued commitment to supporting Ukraine as they defend their independence. The new military aid package includes weapons and equipment for Ukraine to succeed on the battlefield and stop Russia's invasion. Blinken in a statement said, "As Ukrainians wage a tough counteroffensive, and as winter fast approaches, it is imperative that we help them take advantage of every single day. Today, the United States is announcing a new package of military aid to help Ukraine succeed on the battlefield and protect its people from Russia’s brutal invasion."
Blinken while talking about the equipment said, "Arms and equipment included in this package include air defence munitions, artillery ammunition, and anti-armour capabilities, which will further enhance Ukraine’s capacity to continue its counter-offensive against Russia’s forces."
According to Blinken's statement, Ukraine has taken more than 50 per cent of the territory that Russia had seized since February 2022 and this continuous support of the US will help the Ukrainian forces in making continuous progress to regain the remaining territory.
Blinken in his statement said, "Russia started this war and could end it at any time by withdrawing its forces from Ukraine and stopping its brutal attacks, which continue to take the lives of so many innocent people."
Blinken further stated, "Until it does, the United States and the coalition we have built of more than 50 nations will continue to stand with Ukraine and work with Congress to advance our national security interests by helping Ukraine secure its future – a future in which its people rebuild and live safely in a resilient and thriving democracy."
