PM Modi In Russia: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to Russia, addressed the Indian Community in Moscow on Tuesday. During his address, he hailed the relationship between India and Russia, saying that no matter how low the temperature drops in Russia during the winter season, the friendship between the two nations has always been in plus and with the same warmth.


PM Modi said that India and Russia are working shoulder to shoulder to give new energy to global prosperity, and all the people of the Indian community in Russia are giving new heights to the relations between the two countries.


"I am happy that India and Russia are working shoulder to shoulder to give new energy to Global Prosperity. All of you present here are giving new heights to the relations between India and Russia.  You have contributed to Russian society with your hard work and honesty, PM Modi said.


"On hearing the word Russia, the first word that comes to every Indian's mind is India's partner in happiness and sorrow, India's trusted friend, we call it 'Dosti'...No matter how much the temperature goes down to minus during the winter season in Russia but India-Russia friendship has always been in Plus, it has always been warm. This relationship is built on the strong foundation of Mutual Trust and Mutual Respect," he further stated. 






While speaking in Moscow, the Prime Minister said that two new Indian consulates will be opened in Russia, which will make travel and trade between the two nations smooth. One new consulate will be opened in Kazan, and another will be in Yekaterinburg.


He also thanked his "dear friend" Russian President Vladimir Putin and said that when Indian students got stuck, the Russian President helped India evacuate them.

PM Modi said that when he took the oath of office for the third time a month ago, he took a vow to work with three times more strength and three times more speed. During his address, the Prime Minister also reiterated his government's goal to make India the third-largest economy in the world in his third term as Prime Minister.


"Today, on 9th July and it has been a full month since I took oath as the PM of India for the third time and I took a vow that I will work with 3 times more strength, at 3 times more speed and it is also a coincidence that the number 3 is also present in many of the government's goals. The government's goal is to make India the third largest economy in the world in the third term," he said.
