New Delhi: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, on several instances, has something or the other ending up making a joke out of himself. Once again, Khan has invoked a fresh laugh riot on social media after a video went viral where he can be heard claiming that trees produce oxygen at night. Yes, you read that right! Prime Minister of Pakistan, an Oxford University graduate, in a speech can be heard saying: Darakht raat mein oxygen dete hain (trees produce oxygen during the night).

It all started when a Pakistani journalist, Naila Inayat recently shared a 15-minute short video of Khan with a caption "Trees produce oxygen at night: Einstein Khan," where Pakistan PM can be seen addressing an audience.

Reportedly, Khan was addressing an event organised for a scholarship drive that assists students from low-income families when he made this bizarre comment. The video starts with Pakistan PM saying, "Over the past 10 years, 70 per cent of the green cover has been cut down. We will have to face the repercussions of that because trees purifies the air and they give out oxygen in the night. The trees also absorb Carbon dioxide."

As soon as the video clip was posted by the Pakistani journalist, Twitterati were left nothing but baffled and hence they trolled Khan right, left and center. However, what made things more interesting was the fact that recently Khan had mocked Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for stating that flooding occurs due to heavy rainfall.

Combining both the incidents, people taunted the Pakistan Prime Minister that he should first revise his own knowledge of science before pointing out mistakes of others. While many were amused that how an Oxford graduate could make such a mistake, others went sarcastic and demanded a Nobel Prize for Khan.

Here's how Twitter reacted to the video:

Well, this is not for the first time that Imran Khan has faced ridicule for his statements that are far from facts. In the recent past the Pakistani Prime Minister brutally trolled when a video of him saying that Japan and Germany share a common border went viral.
