'Must Stop The Aggressor As Soon As Possible': Ukraine President Zelensky Tells Joe Biden
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that defence assistance to Ukraine was discussed during the talks between the two leaders.
New Delhi: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with US President Joe Biden on Tuesday and said "we must stop the aggressor as soon as possible", referring to Russia. The remarks came as Russian invasion of Ukraine entered its sixth day.
Zelensky said that defence assistance to Ukraine was discussed during the talks between the two leaders. "American leadership on anti-Russian sanctions & defence assistance to Ukraine was discussed. We must stop the aggressor as soon as possible," Zelensky said.

On Tuesday, a Russian air strike on the main TV tower in Kyiv left 5 persons dead, reports news agency AFP quoting official sources. Russian airstrike hits Kiev's main TV tower, knocking out some state broadcasts, said Ukraine's Interior Ministry
Similar airstrikes on a residential block, apparently by Russia, were reported from Khrakiv which killed 8 people. Russian missiles had earlier destroyed an administrative building in this second largest city of the country.
"As a result of an air strike... eight people were killed and six injured in Kharkiv," Ukraine's emergency service said. The rescue workers recovered two people alive from the debris, it added.

The Ministry of External Affairs, on Tuesday, confirmed the death of one Indian national in Kharkiv. The deceased, a fourth year medical student, was identified as Naveen Shekarappa Gyanagoudar, a native of Chalageri in Karnataka's Haveri district.
Naveen was a medical student at Kharkiv National Medical University amid heavy shelling.
