Rescue and relief operations are going on at the site of the blast. Footage and visuals on Twitter showed how the infrastructure of the building has been damaged.
The blast is suspected to have taken place on the second floor of a building, windows of nearby buildings as well as some vehicles were also damaged, the Dawn has reported citing eye-witnesses. Though the nature of the blast has not been ascertained yet, police has said that it seems to be a cylinder blast. The bomb disposal squad will be verifying the cause of the explosion.
A day earlier, five people were wounded when a bomb exploded at the entrance of a bus terminal near Sheerin Jinnah Colony.
Several Twitter users shared the videos which showed the damage to the building and the injured being taken to hospital.
The blast in Karachi comes at a time when the city has become a hotbed of resistance against the Imran Khan government by a united front of opposition parties.
