New Delhi: US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, who are visiting India on February 24-25, will also be accompanied by daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner, official sources have said.


Trump's delegation to India will include his senior advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner, they said. Both Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, have been serving in the Trump administration since 2017. The duo has also played a role in Trump's presidential campaign.

The four members of US’ first family are scheduled to travel to Ahmedabad on their arrival on February 24, and then to Agra, where they will see the Taj Mahal, before arriving in New Delhi.  As per the roadshow route plan, Trump and his entourage will first reach the Sabarmati Ashram, a place closely associated with Mahatma Gandhi, from Ahmedabad airport.

Ivanka had earlier paid a visit to Hyderabad in November 2017. She visited India to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), and had dinner with the international delegates on the 101 dining table, one of the world's largest dining tables, at the Taj Falaknuma Palace.

Ahead of his scheduled visit, the President of the United States Downplayed the expectation of a trade deal with India during his visit. Trump said the two countries could make a "tremendous" trade deal, but indicated that the talks on this might slow down if he did not get a good deal.
