According to a report by Sun TV, a man who tested positive for Coronavirus in Jakarta had sex with a nurse of the hospital he was admitted in and later shared details of the incident on social media.
The incident, which allegedly occurred earlier this month at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital, came to light after the patient shared details on his Twitter account last Friday, including a photo of the nurse removing his PPE kit and lying on the toilet floor, Indonesian media reported.
The two had made the assignation on WhatsApp and a snapshot of their conversation was also released in the media reports. The Regional Military Command, which is overseeing operations at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital, immediately probed the matter and the nurse and the patient were identified and questioned, a military spokesman said.
Both the accused also underwent a Covid test and since the nurse tested negative, he was handed over to the police, while the patient is still isolated at the hospital. The Indonesian National Nurses Association confirmed the incident and said that it believes the nurse in question should face legal action.
