IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq is hearing the petition filed by Imran Khan to cancel the non-bailable arrest warrants issued by a district & sessions court in the Toshakhana case due to his repeated failure to appear before it.
Ahead of Islamabad High Court's verdict in a petition filed by Imran Khan seeking a stay on his arrest warrants, the ex-Pakistan Prime Minister claimed that no officer or institution has been named in the sedition case against him.
"My 76 cases & increasing rapidly include terrorism, blasphemy & sedition. In sedition case, neither the officer is named nor institution identified. This is what happens when a bunch of criminals are imposed on a nation by those who are devoid of intelligence, morality & ethics," he tweeted.

The Islamabad Police had arrived at Khan's residence at Zaman Park in Lahore on Sunday to arrest him in connection with the case. According to Geo News, an Islamabad police official said that they were in Lahore as Imran Khan failed to appear before a court in the Toshakhana case.
Khan dodged the arrest and had written to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial and requested adequate security arrangements for his appearances in the court due to possible assassination attempts against him, The Express Tribune reported.
"I wish to draw your attention to a very critical issue. Ever since the removal of my government through a regime change operation, I have been confronted with questionable FIRs, threats, and finally an assassination attempt," Imran Khan said in the letter, as quoted by The Express Tribune.
Reacting to the reports of action by the police, PTI senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry, warned of a worsening situation in the country if the government moves against the former prime minister, as mentioned by Geo News in its report. "Any attempt to arrest Imran Khan will seriously worsen the situation, I want to warn this incompetent and anti-Pakistan government not to push Pakistan into further crisis and act sensibly," said Fawad, as quoted by Geo News.
