The governments and health care facilities have a huge uphill task of vaccinating all citizens to end the Covid-19 pandemic. In Turkey, the work became an uphill one for real as healthcare professionals were seen scaling mountains to be able to vaccinate people in remote villages.

As per this report by news agency AFP, infection rates in the isolated mountain villages have been low but the next step in the inoculation drive has been reaching people living in such areas for giving the vaccine shot to those who are unwilling to travel to hospitals fearing Covid contraction.

The country had more than half a million people being vaccinated in the early days of January but the drive has slowed down considerably with doctors trying to reach secluded places.
