Coronavirus: Amid the restlessness of people across the world waiting frantically for a vaccine of Covid-19, US President Donald Trump has said that the US administration will announce a good news soon regarding the therapeutics developed for Covid-19 within two weeks. While speaking to reporters on Monday , Trump stated that within 2 weeks “we will have some really very good things to say.”

"With respect to therapeutics, I can tell you that I think over the next couple of weeks, we will have some really, very good things to say... Meanwhile on the vaccine front, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) said in a press release that US scientists have begun a phase three trial of a potential COVID-19 vaccine developed by biotechnology company Moderna. The final trial of the vaccine would seek around 30,000 adult volunteers who are not infected by Coronavirus. The trial will be conducted at multiple US clinical research sites.
Amid speculations over vaccines, US Vice president Mike Pence said that the developments are showing such great promise something and one should be available later this year or early next year.
Globally, the overall coronavirus cases have surged past 16.4 million, while the deaths have increased to over 652,000, according to the data by Johns Hopkins University. As of Tuesday morning, the total number of cases stood at 16,407,310, while the fatalities rose to 652,459, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed in its latest update.
