Pakistan blast: A massive blast took place near a seminary in Peshawar’s Dir Colony, reports in Pakistani media have claimed. As per the latest update by the Associated Press, at least 7 children were killed in the explosion while over 70 are said to be wounded. As per a report in Dawn, most of those injured include students of the seminary. It is being reported that someone took a bag inside the seminary, which seems to be the apparent reason behind the blast.

As per news agency AFP, a senior police official named Waqar Azim said that the blast took place in a seminary during a Quran class. Someone took a bag inside the seminary.
The injured were being provided with immediate medical attention at Lady Reading Hospital and the hospital's director was present at the emergency ward. An emergency had also been declared at the medical facility.
The blast at Peshawar seminary comes days after the Karachi explosion in which at least five people were killed and 20 others injured after a blast in a multi-storey building in Karachi's Gulshan-i-Iqbal area.
