Asia Cup 2018: During a news bulletin on Pakistan Vs Afghanistan Asia Cup cricket match, a Pakistani news anchor was caught off-guard as the camera began rolling a few seconds before he was ready. The anchor who thought he is off-air ‘flipped the bird’ on camera and could be seen guffawing uncontrollably. All this occurred within seconds and the anchor regained his poise as soon as he realised he was on air.

However the anchor’s act of showing the middle finger (an obscene gesture) with a big wide grin was aired on the television and soon the blooper was making news on social media.

The video of the incident which was shared on social media by journalist Syed Raza Mehdi went viral instantly and elicited mixed response. While some found the act funny and bailed the anchor saying he didn’t know bulletin had begun, others criticised the obscene gesture.
