At least two Talibani soldiers were killed in the attack on their car in the provincial capital Jalalabad on Wednesday.

This is the latest attack since the Taliban seized control of Kabul.

The attackers began firing on the Taliban fighters’ car near the local gas station in Jalalabad, said an eyewitness. At least two Talibani fighters and a gas attendant were killed in the incident.

“I was filling up the gas tank of my bike when suddenly two attackers leaped out of a rickshaw and started firing,” said another eyewitness Ezatullah.

“The pump attendant lost his life while the pump too was badly damaged. Two Talibani Mujahideen and one pump attendant were killed in the attack,” he added.

Another eyewitness Naveen Hassanzai, whose house was damaged in the attack, said three people were injured in the attack.

“The damaged house belongs to me. I heard two explosions at around 11 a.m. I think three people were injured. Our house was also badly damaged during this attack,” he said.
