Maharishi Valmiki Corporation Officer Suicide

Chandrashekaran P (52) allegedly took his own life after leaving a six-page death note detailing corruption within the corporation and implicating a minister. Following a complaint from Chandrashekaran's wife, according to sources, a case has been filed against KMVSTDC Managing Director J.G. Pabmanabh, accountant Parashurama Durgannanavar, and Union Bank Manager Suchismitha Ravul.

In the wake of this controversy and growing demands for the resignation of Youth Empowerment, Sports, and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Minister B. Nagendra, the government has transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

BJP State President B. Y. Vijayendra stated that the incident exposed extensive corruption within the Corporation and urged the immediate dismissal of B. Nagendra. Vijayendra highlighted that Chandrashekaran had documented a scandal involving Rs 183 crore in his note. He warned that if Nagendra is not removed from his position, the BJP would initiate statewide protests.

JD(S) State Vice President K. B. Prasanna Kumar called for the inclusion of the implicated minister's name in the FIR.
