Uttarakhand Woman Transfers Her Property To Rahul Gandhi, Says Inspired By His Vision
While handing over the testament to Congress Metropolitan President Lalchand Sharma, Munjial said that the ideas of Rahul Gandhi inspired her to make such a move.
New Delhi: A senior citizen from Uttarakhand's Dehradun approached the district court Monday in order to transfer all her property to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, reported news agency ANI.
Pushpa Munjial, 78, filed a testament (will) in the court for the transfer of property.
While handing over the testament to Congress Metropolitan President Lalchand Sharma, Munjial said that the ideas of Rahul Gandhi inspired her to make such a move.
"Munjial told us that Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of this country. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have dedicated themselves to the service of the nation. She is very much influenced by this," said Sharma, as reported by ANI.
Pushpa Munjial willed her property at the residence of former state president Pritam Singh who praised the woman for her act.
"This is Pushpa Munjial's affection towards the Gandhi family that has encouraged her for such an act. In today's time, when people fight over ownership rights, Pushpa ji has done a commendable job," said Singh.
The property transferred to Rahul Gandhi by Munjial is situated in Dehradun's upscale locality and holds a high monetary value.
