Surprisingly, spare parts of the more expensive RC 390 are cheaper than those of the Apache RR 310

The TVS Apache RR 310 was one of the most anticipated motorcycles last year. Launched in December, TVS’ latest flagship is now one of the most popular bikes among enthusiasts. However, there aren’t many that are actually buying one. This could be due to its price tag of Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is dangerously close to the more frantic KTM RC 390 (Rs 2.37 lakh).

To make things worse, the Apache seems to have been plagued by rumours of expensive spare part prices. In a bid to clear the air, TVS has now released the exact cost of the RR 310’s spare parts. However, it isn’t going to help the company’s case any further. That’s because the spare parts of the more expensive KTM are cheaper than those of the RR 310. Here’s an example: the front brake pad of the RC 390 costs Rs 210, while the same costs a whopping Rs 2,236 for the TVS. Another prime example of the price difference can be seen in the headlamp assembly of both bikes. The RC 390’s unit costs around Rs 10,000 whereas the same costs Rs 21,390 on the RR 310.
