Hyderabad: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has released online tickets for a special darshan of the Sri Venkateswara idol for February 2022.
The Rs 300 Special Entry Darshan (SED) tickets were released at 9 am on Friday, while the Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens for common pilgrims will be available from 9 am, Saturday (January 29).
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has stressed that devotees must follow all Covid-19 norms. The board has also made additional arrangements in light of the coronavirus epidemic.
TTD has made it mandatory for all devotees to have a negative Covid-19 test report or a double vaccination certificate to offer prayers in the Tirumala temple.
Booking services requires pilgrim registration with a valid email address. An activation link and an OTP SMS verification will be provided to the registered e-mail address and mobile number for verification and activation.
Meanwhile, TTD has said that it will only provide a limited number of darshan tickets due to the pandemic. Tickets are available only on the official website, said TTD officials.
Only those who have shown the vaccination certificate or the RTPCR test negative certificate 48 hours before the visit at the Alipiri checkpoint will be allowed in Tirumala. Authorities are asking devotees to cooperate in this regard.
Many pilgrims from all over the world visit The Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh. Nearly 50,000 to 1 lakh devotees used to visit the Sri Venkateswara temple every day before the Covid-19 outbreak.
However, due to restrictions imposed because of the pandemic, the number of devotees has fallen.
